Better Homes Yorkshire has managed to secure funding to offer FREE* insulation for  residents across 9 Local Authorities within Yorkshire. The funding has been secured through the Central Government department DECC (Department of Energy & Climate Change) Green Deal Communities Scheme, and is designed to help customers reduce their fuel bills by providing insulation to stop heat from escaping from homes.

There is eligibility criteria which must be met in order to qualify for funding through this scheme. If you receive certain benefits or your annual household income is less than £20,000, we could insulate your wall cavities and loft or attic room totally free of charge*. If you do not meet this criteria then still give the Better Homes Yorkshire team a call, although you may not be able to qualify for free insulation, you could still qualify for a voucher entitling you to a heavy discount against the cost of insulation.

 

The works which are currently available are listed below:

Cavity wall insulation – free

Loft insulation – free

Attic room in roof insulation – free

New A-rated boiler – heavily discounted

 

In order to qualify for one of the free insulation measures listed above you must first meet one of the initial criteria of living in a property which you own or rent from a private landlord.
