Better Homes Yorkshire are pleased to announce that grant funding has now been secured from the National Grid Warm Homes Fund to support private residents in the Swarcliffe area to have central heating installed. We envisage a lot of interest in this offer, therefore works to install the heating systems for interested residents will be booked in on an area-by-area basis between now and May 2021.
The grant is available for owner occupiers and private landlords/tenants in the area who do not currently have gas central heating. Eligibility for the scheme is based on the current energy efficiency of your home, not your personal income. To book your survey, please complete the form below or contact the above telephone number.
*Council tenants interested in having the heating installed should contact their local housing office
Northern Gas Networks commenced installing the gas mains in the Swarcliffe area in February 2019, and are due to complete these works in July 2019.
Better Homes Yorkshire will now start contacting back interested residents who have signed up to the scheme to book in a property survey to determine their eligibility. If you have signed up to the scheme and haven’t heard anything back, you should receive a letter shortly. In the meantime if you have signed up for a gas connection, but have not yet signed up with Better Homes Yorkshire for our heating scheme, please complete the form above or contact us on the above telephone number to book your survey.
